Norman MacCaig Centenary Poetry Competition

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition, which closed on 31 July 2010. We are delighted to have received 279 entries.

Judging is now underway. The overall winner will be notified by the end of September. The results will be made public during the week-long celebration of MacCaig's centenary, from 6-13 November 2010, in Assynt, 'this most beautiful corner of the land', where he wrote so much of his poetry.

1st prize: a free week-long creative retreat at Glencanisp Lodge.
2nd prize: £200   3rd prize: £100.   10 runners up will receive £10 book tokens.
